Weatherperson

I know better than believe what they say about the weather. It was supposed to be nice here in Portland for days (at least through the weekend). It was beautiful and crisp yesterday, and seemed a perfect day to stay in and curl up with a book. I didn't feel guilty about all of the chores that I have outside, 'knowing' that I'd have to get around to them today. Well it has been raining all day and I got zero chores done in this gloom. Oops! I got it backwards- yesterday I should've been outside, and today I should've been curled up with a book.
Oh well, maybe I'll think of something interesting to blog about some day.
I have been thinking of these as "non blogs."

Procedure

I had my SCC procedure yesterday, and it went ok. They took out more than I expected- it ended up being about the size of a nickel after the second pass. I opted for the MOHS procedure since it is on my cheekbone (less likely to leave a huge scar). There is about a 2 inch 'scar' and both eyes are black. I'm too late for Halloween- darn! I'm sure it will heal fine.
A friend says I should call it a fencing accident: "...it was traumatic and I don't want to talk about it!" kind of thing. Sounds more interesting...
It reminds me of the time my Aunt Bonnie was on the cover of a PCC catalog wearing a fencing outfit. I thought it was just someone that looked like her; but when I mentioned it, she said that she had taken the class and they wanted her picture for the cover (I'm amazed she consented)! She was probably close to my age when she took that class. Only one of her many secret adventures.
